You ever think that maybe, just maybe, they were all normal humans before Smurfette picked up a smurfing virus from a smurfing sailor and passed it around? Symptoms: skin blue, 2" tall ...

Then again, I head that Handy Smurf is a popular fella round the entire social circle as well ... smurftacular!

Just imagine if it would be done in live action! They could have say, Renee Zwelleger in blue makeup as Smurfette bouncing around a little mushroom village full of blue guys. George Clooney could be Papa Smurf.
