I'm just a rag dolly, happy and smiling all day

Ragedy Ann still stuck in my head. This idea stuck with me for the skateboard. Now I'll probably hate it tomorrow. I'm a little embarassed that I have such Gofh tendencies. I guess I often do, I just don't often show them.

I tried to do the griptape on top so that it repeats the button eyes and then I painted a stitch just for good measure. I think it works (the tiny picture at the top) :)

Anyhow, back to relearning ollies on the carpet. :)

Looks great! :)

What's wrong with Goth tendencies? :)

[identity profile] shizouka.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
There are good goth tendancies, and bad... kind of like the force only both sides are the "Dark Side."

[identity profile] lediva.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's like _anything_. Anything good can be made bad, and anything bad can be good in the right context.

But that's just my evil liberal moral relativism talking.

*giggles* Yes, Goth power can be harnessed for the forces of Awesome.

I love the Goth look, but I'm far too optimistic and happy for the Goth Attitude. Besides... as long as I'm admitting things, I generally[*] find pessimistic people boring.

[*] Not always, mind you. Pessimistic people who are sarcastic and cynical are often fun to be around just for the snark. Your mileage may vary. Offer invalid in Iowa. Reminds me of those "Perky Goth" shirts Niki likes to wear.

Nothing really. I just hate being labeled as anything because then people start making assumptions about me that probably aren't accurate. Also, I'm too random to hold to any one subculture for more than a few hours. Actually I'm pretty inclined towards goth. I'd even do the goth 'look' if it weren't so much upkeep and was more compatible with rough and sweaty activities.

[identity profile] lediva.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not so much for the hot n' sweaty (*cough* Well, except in certain circumstances), but I'm otherwise right there with you.

That and I feel like I'd just get more bad attention for my workplace appearance.

Where do we sent the 'get well soon' cards for when you break your neck? :)

[identity profile] paka.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, that's slick. Please can I come and try skating some more with you sometime?

[identity profile] dv-girl.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally! it's a great way to blow off steam. I think I'm going to take up practing under the train bridge! (There's a big dimly lit parking lot kind of area down there (and well away fromt he trains, of course)

[identity profile] adequatemagic.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
... why do I want to suggest that once you have your skills up to what you consider presentable, you have a team of helpers wrap you in bubble wrap and take you out to a skate park to roll?

As I mentioned on FM, I think your board design kicks ass.
The button eyes grip-tape is sheer genius!

So yeah, I like it. :-D
