Rubber Baby Bugs Bunny Bumpers

... So now the Lunatics look like rubber-fetish classic Warner characters... Well. Someone is going to be happy. o_O

I didn't think it was possible but they made them a hundred times worse.

Really?

I like them much better in this version. They actually have detail and can show facial expressions and emotion and stuff. I can't imagine the older blocky ones showing any other emotion than "XTREMEEEEE!" which would lead to some rather shallow character development.

After reading the responses here, I realize I must be in the minority. But I'll probably watch the show anyway.

It looks so awful and fake that makes the earlier design good >_<

You know, I hadn't thought of that. At least someone is happy with the changes.

Oh my ... My first reaction: "It's like they took the original 'Loonatics' designs and had a babyfur draw them."

My roommate's first reaction: "It's a 3-dimensional ball of atomic flaming SUCK"

It's not even the 'rubbery' appearance that bothers me much -- it's the soft caring eyes and dippy grins.

Hold on, this isn't a piece of fan-art? They've redesigned them again??

Why do I look at this and see the caption, "Come with us, child.." ?

*shivver*

They've somehow done the impossible: Corrected the base flaws from the prior idea and yet made the whole project a million times stupider.

If this from VCL or DeviantArt, I'd go "mediocre but harmless fannish interpretation." But this is promotional art for the series. Who the hell approved such an amateurish portrait? And where can I find them and kick them in the nads?

This is just....WRONG!!!! Must Kill Warners!!!!

[identity profile] doodlesthegreat.livejournal.com 2005-06-07 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the best thing to do is the obvious: Flood the net with toon porn! o_O

With vaguely anime faces!

[identity profile] iron-raptor.livejournal.com 2005-06-07 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah... crap.

[identity profile] turbinerocks.livejournal.com 2005-06-07 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
They look okay to me. Loonatics isn't for 30 year olds, it's for kids. I've seen what the kids are watching these days. ;-)

[identity profile] breisleach.livejournal.com 2005-06-07 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
... For some reason, that makes me feel dirtier than actual Loony Tunes pr0n would. Possibly because I just know way, way too many rubber and latex fetishists.

You know... I just don't like bringing the WB stars into a City-Of-Heroes Universe... even if this image does look kinda yiffy in a weird unsettling way. I just can't see them as Supers...

Whats with the MegaMan Boots?

They going to go after the evil "Cut-Man" and "Wood-Man"?

Dear Wornout Bros.,

*ahem* Please, please puh-leeeeease just give up already! Let the 'classic' toons die off gracefully and retain what little dignity they had left.
