If you get it, I'll either transfer it for you or let Peggy bring over one of my players on her next trip home. You've gotten me sufficiently intrigued about this film as well!

Cool! Thank you! ^_^ Of course, I also looked at e-bay and it looks like I could probably buy a working laser disc player for under $20. Then I could also rent exotic anime. :)

Excellent! Then I highly recommend getting one of them if your tastes range that way. It's MUCH better picture & sound quality than you could ever extract from a VHS.

...though my next trip home probably won't be 'til Christmas, if then - and there was some talk of my mom coming out here!

I wonder if the laserdisc is the original cut or the "I Found Jesus!" cut.

The laser disks are reportedly all the original version. The 'Kid Friendly' version is VHS.

I have a feeling that DV Girl will just get a laserdisc player herself if she gets this disc... I suspect it's the cut version though...

P.S.: Did you get my recent emails?

Yeah, seems so!

I got 'em, yeah; I've been turning thoughts about it over in my head, trying to decide what I should commit to doing. Redoing Drumbot a a 3D exercise is something I've been wanting to do for a good while. We'd have to figure out Format Hell, 'cause I'd probably be doing the modelling and rigging and animating in Maya, and I'm not sure what you'd have access to for rendering and doing further adhoc snippets in... Maybe the BVH exporter Sammi wrote will see some use by me after all!
