Whew. This has been a stressed week. Glad it's finally winding down, and seems to be ending on positive notes. Kibbles got the video cards and they worked! (YAY!), work is sorted out and I have everything ready for Thermal Vac next week on my end.
I finished the drawings for the comic for the guy. Photos of all the work I did if your interested

Met him yesterday 'n' got paid! Woo! My biggest art sale yet. :) So I remembered I have a loving and patient spouse and took her out to dinner and a movie.

We watched, 'Holes'. I have to say I think it is one of the best kids movies I've seen in a LONG time. Probably best for an 10-15 age-group. It has a few edgy points, some reference to racism and some (low quantity of blood) shootings. The very first scene in the movie, with the rattle snake, is probably the most frightening. Otherwise, the movie is a superb kids film. it has multiple plot threads and does a good job of tying them together slowly. The audience is given time to think about point A and point B and how they might fit together. Then later in the movie, you're proved right. As the movie progresses, the audience is lead more and more into thinking, "Hey! I bet this happens because this happened."

It also isn't at ALL saccrine, which is my biggest issue with children's movies. This one actually feels like a movie that was made FOR kids than made for a parental marketing demographic. On the down side, it might be a bit too graphic and gritty for younger children, but for pre-early teen, I think it's a great movie!
