I'm stealing two memes and putting them in one post.

Meme 1: Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] jakerabbit Describe your personal Hell.
  • For me, my Hell is what other people might consider Heaven. It would be something like a husband, two kids, a minivan, a mortgage, and a long life... Being completely uninspired, completely undriven, wasting my life away starring vacuously at the television screen with the high points of my life being defined as 'A trip to Vegas'. Better to struggle my whole life and fail than never try.

Meme 2: Swiped from [livejournal.com profile] hothead Reply to this post with whatever is currently in your cut and paste buffer.
  • After Effects must have keyframes selected from one layer in order to export them as text.

Meme 2 excites me. Please respond to it even if you skip meme 1. :)

Camilla enters, with Charlotte-Sophia walking along next to hir.
[OOC] Camilla says, "You push me to do things I normally wouldn't do. You're very fun."

But Alexander offers something very different: a participatory art of generation, an engagement with a culture of builders and a culture of users. It is an art that seeks to connect its participants to the real structure of things.

That is, it is a direct engagement of the concrete, a portal into the real geometric structure of nature, including our own nature. It is a change of focus away from the “bewitchment of abstractions” that has been humanity’s deadly contemporary error, toward the real “buzzing concrescence

That must have been something my mom wrote. I'm on Mom's computer right now.

Good thing I didn't see this post earlier while I was working on my big massive updated cartoons page project (coming soon!), or you might have gotten spammed with 500 lines of database info.

A trip to Vegas for me would be hitting all the Cirque shows in Vegas in rapid succession. No shame in that. ^_^

Meme 2:

seem to recall a friend describing it as "unpleasant" and like "being poked in the groin by thousands of tiny imps with pitchforks".

You know, I actually thought about just that. How if certain people were right about Hell and Heaven, they'd actually be the same place - they'd be some '50s sitcom styled place, where women had to be domestic, where nobody was allowed to be Jewish or Queer or Rom, and where Blacks had to use separate facilites and parts of the bus, and either you liked it and considered it Heaven, or you were stuck there and it was Hell.
