Yeah. *sigh* If I had the talent or the money, animation, gardening, and hiking would probably be the only things I'd ever do. I love animation, even if I'm not very good at it and even if I do end up struggling a lot, there's something about it that brings me some really deep sense of joy.
I guess also I can be really narcisistic about it. When I do finally finish a piece, I often just sit and watch it in a loop like 20 or 30 times. I dunno. I'm just totally utterly fascinated with the motion and also I want to figure out what I can do to make the next one better. I wish I could pull off being a real animator. But then again, if I did it for a living, making someone else's ideas for commercial profit, I probably wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much. :/ It's too bad america isn't more like Canada. Healthcare and grants for animation sound pretty good.
