The broken sword is Tyrfing, not Stormbringer. Albeit, Tyrfing, nearly forgotten in modern times is certainly the blade that inspired many later fantasy writers. I might suppose Tyrfing truly existed once upon a time. Forged from a star, a black blade that never rusted, dripped blue fire and caused death to whoever it struck but was cursed and would eventually turn upon its owner.

It's almost plausible. A sword forged from a meteorite perhaps. steel, nickel, chromium, and carbon. Perhaps even slightly radioactive. It would be far harder than bronze or even iron. Mostly I'm being silly but I did a google search and found that if such a sword never existed, it does now.

Though swords were definitely made from meteorite iron. They just may not have been as fabulous as legend. :)

On a semi-related note... There's been a LOT of music written that incorporates StormBringer. Someone should compile a disk and play it. :)

Dear Jon,

In the fine tradition of D&D and many other things, I want to take two fanciful entities and combine them to make an even more fanciful entity. Could you please fill in lore, hit dice, and description for combining the Baba Yaga with Yog-Shoggoth to produce the Baba-Yag-Shoggoth?
