pasithea: glowing girl (Default)
When I was at Silicon, there was a gothic lolita/anime fashion show Sunday. I went to go watch it. My biggest complaint is that they just told people to parade across stage and that meant that the average person went across the stage at nearly a dead run. Average time on stage per model was about 20 seconds tops. Didn't give me much time to draw but I did manage a bunch of really fast gestural drawings with some hints as to their costume to remember the parts that were interesting to me.

So earlier this week, I went back and fleshed them out a little more. Of course, my memory is terrible so these costumes are half wild-guesses and imagination. Anyhow. Some of my sketches are behind this cut )

Some of these are even kind of good.

Sweet Transsexual. Land of Night. ) Magenta mentions the moon-drenched shores and I started thinking about what the moon of Transsexual would look like.

Skyris )Xenomorphic humanoid. I can't decide if she's aerial or aquatic in nature.

Taur at Bar )Centaur girl at a tavern.

Cat slut )Not-very interesting furry softc0re.

I dream of Tesla )Poor Nikoli. A while back, I read that as a child he'd built a little turbine powered by flying beetles but some other child ate his bugs and it really freaked him out. Kind of a weird combination of various inventions of him and stuff. A little abstract.

Why'd I scan this? )A couple of character sketches that aren't that interesting.

Braided Bull )An anthro bull warrior sort of character. Kind of interesting but needs work.

SCIENCE! )You can't go wrong with goggles, gas masks, and lab coats.

Careful what you wank to! )

Nannies for Dandelions )Inspired by paper umbrellas hanging from strings at the sushi bar. There was a whiteboard behind them that had had the specials erased but had a green line along the bottom. It kind of made its own picture. The spiral in the background is a design for a beadwork rosette that I am working on the other side of the page but I liked what it added to this image so I left it.

Okay. That's all for now.
