Pride and such.
Jun. 25th, 2006 08:32 pmJon, Stacey, and I went to the gay pride parade in San Francisco today. Woo! ^_^ In the 15 years I've lived in this area, this was the first time I'd actually gone. The parade was a lot of fun but amazingly long! 3 hours wow! I was having a great time until...

After the parade, we went the opposite direction of the crowds and headed for China Town for some dimsum. Mmmm... Dimsum! And after dimsum, we stopped in a shop with cookwares. Stacey and I got a smaller and much better wok than the one my mom gave me like 20 years ago (which was crap even then) and I found one of the holy artifacts I'd been searching for. A REALLY HEAVY cleaver. Oooh yes, my precious! And it was only 15 dollars. It's a type of steel that will need to be kept oiled but it will cut. Oh precious will it cut. It will slice right through yams, it will. Oooh yes.. And nasty hobbits bonies, and coconuts and fingers if we lets it. Yesssss. We must be careful with this one precious, but it is soo powerful! So wonderful! Choppity chop chop! (I've been aching for a good cleaver for years)
On the way back to the car I found an awsome wooden clacker that someone had dropped and it makes glorious quantities of annoying wood noises! YAY!!!! ^_^ We put the precious and the clacker in the car and went on to the actual pride festival.
Walked around, saw lots of fun stuff. I got to do a fair bit of dancing and... Wow have situps and swimming and biking and stuff made a difference in my energy levels! I did medium high energy dancing for 4 or 5 songs straight and didn't feel the least bit tired (stopped when Jon called and we met back up) After that, we walked around a bunch more then headed home.
Jon took off and Stacey and I took a shower, then Stacey conked out in bed. I did some more situps and am now going to get back to housecleaning. :)
