pasithea: glowing girl (Default)
The weekend went by really fast. Um. Quick recap.

Thursday, Stacey drove up and met me in the city and we watched the 12:30AM showing of Xmen 3 with Brent from work. Hung out with an outrageously gay guy at the theatre while waiting for brent. He was one of the cute generic ripped-pecs dark-skinned drunk and boisterous bois. Actually, there were a lot of exhuberently gay people there. Saw a drag queen or two. Gave me warm fuzzies about how wretched the nightlife is in San Francisco. :) In ways it's nice to be older and not so clubby. In other ways, it looks like a lot of fun. :) The downer to that evening was that nowhere in the entire audience did I see one other person with really outspokenly different coloured hair. A couple of hair spiked up into something resembling a mohawk for the evening, but that was it. The movie was tepid BTW. There were a couple of scenes I thought Jon would like though.

Friday I spent at home with the pretext of working from home but I didn't really get anything done. I did some reconfiguring on my laptop to make it more useable as a primary machine. I've had it for months now but I still hadn't really set up a good workspace on it. I've just been using it to compile and test code on the train. Getting lots of grunt use out of it but I hadn't made it 'home' yet, if that makes sense. In the evening I did some housecleaning and slacked online. Accomplished very little. :( Oh. Stacey and I did bicycle to the comic store and rent videos.

Saturday I did a little work, then Jon came over. We hung out for a bit and we took him to see the XMen movie for the couple of good lines in it. After Jon left, I dressed up and with with Ashy to the mall in a quest for boots. There are no great boots in the valley fair mall, but we walked around for a long time and ridiculed a lot of fashion so that worked out well. We went back to her place for the evening and got incredibly friggin' drunk. No food makes me a cheap date. Wait. There was food. Something loco something. Also, there was the deathtini! Somehow I came up with the brilliant idea to put a hot green chili in a martini because I thought it would loft the oils of the pepper and make and interesting drink. Why yes. It does loft the oils. It was the burning evil martini of death! Also, to date, the best martini I've ever had. Ashy mixes good drinks.

Umm.. Letsee. Sunday... Hangover... I did some work, researched some ideas for building nice corsets. Ran errands with Stacey on the bicycles, and made sushi for dinner.

Today I got up early and wanted to take a swim but I still didn't have a swim cap (I don't want to take all the dye out of my hair) so I decided to go look for one (plus it was an excuse to go for an early morning bike ride). At the first store I found only black and red. Since they were cheap, I got one of each. Then decided that I'd probably need a swimsuit to wear it with. Biked to Ross and surprisingly found two swimsuits that I liked quite well, that fit me, and were inexpensive! (My clothing luck lately has been fantastic!)

Biked home and got Stacey out of bed. We then biked to the Valco mall and returned an item that had a defect. Found a decent sale on shoes and got Stacey some new shoes for hiking. Then on the way out, noticed cheap sleazy hooker boots in the back of one store. 3" platform, 6" heel white PVC gogo boot... Only the display model left.. In my size.. Dirt cheap. Oh my. Stacey apparently found it a huge turn on, so I got it and it's mate. Though some other shiny PVC is definetely going to have to go with it. But hey. Stacey has a shiny plastic button that I didn't know about. Woo. :) There may be hope for her yet! :)

Anyhow. that's more or less it. Doing a bit more work now. This part of my current project at work is dragging on a little longer than I'd hoped it might.
