So.. Our little cat (Ashley) got fixed yesterday, so the night before the food was taken up and now we're giving her an antibiotic. Our other cat, my dear nutty Hazel, has been pissy and aggitated and defensive. At first I'd thought it was because we were packing to move until I observed that she was totally freaking out when we gave Ashley her antibiotic and then it occurred to me that usually both cats get medicated or bathed at the same time. So she was pissy and defensive because she expected to be medicated and was trying to keep us for doing it.

My solution? Fill the syringe up with milk (It's a liquid oral medicine we're giving the other cat) catch Hazel and make her 'take her medicine'. Since we chased her and caught her and forced her to take it, she's convinced it's medicine but it doesn't taste bad so now she's sitting around puzzled but no longer being a screaming pain in the rear. I love cats. :)
