You know, I'm going to have to think about not saying 'Sweet Monkey Jesus' anymore. I mean Shrub looks like a monkey and Reverend Moon just declared himself the new messiah and had a coronation in a building which has its reservations restricted to senators. What.The.Fuck?

Don't believe me? Hit news.google.com and type 'coronation reverend moon'. You'll get hundreds of news sites confirming this.

Now, for added terror, go to the main google site and search again but this time say 'bush reverend moon'.

Yeah, that's right. One of the major contributors to the Bush campaign in 2000 and again in 2004, close personal ties with the pResident, and a man who Bush has repeatedly said things about like, 'He is a man with a vision.' and expressed other sentiments that he looks up to him.

You know, personally I'm neither right wing or christian but holy fuck! How could ANYONE who calls themselves an american or a christian vote for Bush knowing that he is supported by this fucking psycho and in turn looks up to this nutjob? I mean I know Bush grew up near Waco and all but COME ON!

Please! For the love of Pete (or Patricia if you prefer) share this with any pious right-winger yahoos you meet, even if they think Bush's fecal matter comes out with wings and a halo and smelling of flowers this has GOT TO make them question it at LEAST a little. O_O

The 'Velt

You know, listening to the old sci-fi radio dramas, I realized something. Ray Bradbury is a flaming hypocrite. :/

In recent news he's been throwing a fit that Michael Moore named his film 'Fahrenheit 911'... Now the thing is, a short story by Ray Bradbury is playing right this moment titled, 'The Velt'.

It's a story against too much automation in people's lives... It's a
story with a little boy named Peter and a little girl named Wendy whose parents bought a house with nursery; what would later be called a 'Holodeck' in Star Trek. In other words, Peter and Wendy fly off to Never Never Land and forget their parents and become little savages....

I'd always respected Bradbury and I admit to some ambivalence about Moore. I'm well aware he isn't the most honest person in the world. On the other hand, the name thing seemed very petty when I first heard about it and now it seems outright hypocritical. :/
