I honestly keep meaning to post I just keep forgetting or being busy. So much stuff going on in my life lately.

I've still practicing guitar quite a bit and I've taken up my flute again. I can finally play E flat and D properly again! For years after the accident I couldn't form the proper aumbeture to play those two notes well (and on a C flute they're right in the middle of the range and some of the most common notes to play) Happy happy!

The guitar no longer blisters or even bruises my fingers and I now know the notes on all the strings and can play a few chords and have started learning multi-finger chords. Also beginning to be able to consistently put different types of personality into different notes.

So.. It's been what... almost 7 months since I stopped biting my nails but they're short again now.... Though not bitten. Heh. After the years and years of angst about having such short nails, I finally stop biting them and what's the first thing I do once I have them long and pretty? Start playing guitar. This from a person who three months ago actually CRIED when she broke a nail because she'd been trying so long to grow them out. I'm such a dork.

Other recent changes:

Started using Safari instead of Internet Exploder. Seems decent so far. At least it doesn't explode on me the way IE did.

Switched to bicycling to work MWF (school T TH) already feeling my energy level picking up and a little weight going away. Yay! Now I just needta start bicyclign the whole way instead of just 1/5th of the way. (About 2 miles each way) =) figured I'd work up to that though. =)
Next week I may try riding 3/5ths of the way (bike/train in; bike home)

This weekend looks pretty busy. FC staff meeting tomorrow morning, filming for [livejournal.com profile] roon on Sunday plus some twinkie thing with [livejournal.com profile] centauress (if I can't squirm out of it) Umm. Lots of housecleaning in prep for Julie's visit, homework, artwork I want to catch up, try to finish Free As a Bird Inking and do some photography of it. Some more work on FCTV commercials, hang new shower curtains! Fold laundry. Maybe do some work on You're So Brave and see if I can't finish up some other Illustrator stuff I wanted to do. I've been slacking on weekends lately. Gotta stop that. Back to work time!

Its getting that time of year when I think about putting stuff in the FC artshow again. The year before last when I put stuff in I actually made pretty decent money despite being something of an unknown. I think that I need to develop more name recognition though. As such, I suspect I need to join a few secret societies. Can anyone tell me about the Furry Free Art Exchange? What about places to post art where you can get peer review? I know Yerf does this but I suspect I'd be rejected if I submitted to Yerf. Still. Might be worth trying. Can anyone recommend places that might be good for enhancing familiarity a bit?

... I guess I should also work up some business cards one of these days that aren't the ones I use for my real job. I wonder if I can distill myself down to a symbol and less than 20 words... That's an interesting challenge.

I am really hoping to be able to sell a DVD of my work at FC2004 so I should probably bump up the priority on this stuff if I want to turn a profit.
