Observations
Aug. 11th, 2003 12:01 pmLast night, I realized that I have been working in the wrong media.
Since a lot of furry art is the markers/coloured pencil line of work, I started off that direction and never thought much about it although I do work in a fairly large variety of other media for most everything else.
So I realized last night... Markers are totally the wrong media for me. I'm too much of a detail whore. I almost never draw just a character. I draw a whole scene. Because of that, I colour a lot of large areas. markers aren't even and I jsut burn through them doing that. Marker is much better suited to limited colouring and small areas.
Paint or inexpensive media (like coloured pencils and pastels) are much better suited to the type of work I do. In the future, if I am doing anything larger than like 3x5, I should probably chose a medium other than marker.
2) I noticed that I never fill in the 'current music' box at the bottom of my LJ page. All the people I perceive as 'cool' ALWAYS fill in that box. Maybe I need to listen to more music. :)
