Good me, bad me, so healthy

Wah! Colds stink.

My SO and I started doing DDR every night for a half hour a couple weeks ago just mostly to get into better shape 'n' look good at the convention in a couple weeks (cause we like to dance and swim in the pool and out of shape + swimsuit is not a good combination) Anyhow, it's been going really well and is fun. DDR is a nice deceptive exercise machine.

I also got to go hiking with Chirik from FurryMUCK yesterday! He's lost like 75lbs since last year. O_O Anyhow, it was lotsa fun. The park was green 'n' pretty and it was a really nice day.

Today I'm sick tho. Actually I started getting a cold Friday night 'n' I think I'm mostly over it now but yuck. We just started doing more testing at work and its the first night of school tonight. *sulk* Still. I be the sunshine and exercise was way better for me than sitting at home in the dark.

I was supposed to animate though 'n' I didn't get any of that done so I feel kinda bad about being bad about it but not that bad because it was really pretty outside 'n' I hadn't gone hiking in a while 'n' the exercise is definetely good.

Feel better!

It might be worth looking into DDR Konamix and a dance pad, if you have a PS1. Or if you don't, it might be worth looking into getting both. I'm almost certain by now the dance pad plus game will cost more than the actual PS1. :P

Anyway, best advice I can give you -- if you haven't figured this out already, it took me a while -- is to not return to the center of the pad unless you have to. I didn't know you could keep your feet on arrows that aren't lit up without it counting against you. As a result, I spent my first few weeks of playing DDR wondering why my ankles felt like they were ready to fall off. =P
