My trippy childhood part N+1
A friend mentioned finding a mulberry tree on his property and I was like "Ooooh! Yum! I miss mulberries!"
When I was a child I used to gorge myself on them when they were in season. Except of course, I'm not big on the sickly sweet of fully ripe ones so I'd often eat the greener ones....
Wikipedia tells me that the greener ones are known to contain a hallucinogen. Ha! No wonder the creek was such a magical place to me and I had such vivid adventures. ^_^

In other news, there's a new raven near my house. I think he must have been kept as a pet for a while or possibly his nest was near the house of someone who played their TV too loud because he speaks. He has a fantastic and strange voice that comes echoing up out of the trees. I hope he stays around for a while.
