The Book of Kells

pasitheaStacey and I watched an animated film titled, "The Secret of Kells" about... the book of Kells.
It's an odd film. I can't figure out who it's really targeted at. It is about a Christian text but is much more like Irish folklore. It's much too fey for the comfort of evangelicals and much too christian for people who have been rubbed raw by christianity. But.. It's rather beautiful. It is animated in the style of the illuminations in the book and filled with truly beautiful and awe inspiring works of art. It was definitely a film worth watching.
