Exit Through The Gift Shop

Tonight was, sadly, the last night this film was playing, so Stacey and I went to see it. Wish we'd seen it earlier because many of the people I know would love it.

Ostensibly started as a film about Banksy, it became Banksy's film about the film maker. A completely insane french guy who happened into the street art scene because he video tapes everything and his cousin is a street artist in france named Space Invader.

Of course, I have to wonder, and other people have wondered as well... Does Mr. Brainwash exist or is he entirely the creation of Banksy?

I did notice during the film that Banksy has some impressive acting skills. His timing and such in some of the commentary is just a little too good. I'm not going to dig too deep because I like to imagine that Mr. Brainwash does exist. The character was too entertaining. If it turns out he's a farce, then a great laugh has been had too. Either way it's a win.

Excellent film. I totally recommend it. :)
