Bananas!

Well... What I'd read about banana slugs said they mostly eat decaying things and only a little plant matter. This was a lie!

Well. actually, they seem to leave most of the plants alone but they're like little homing missiles for peppermint it turns out. They're totally mad for it and one slug can devour a surprising amount of mint.

So. Every morning I go out and catch them and chuck them out into the woods. At this rate, I should be a world class slug hurler in no time. The other option, I guess is to remember that banana slugs are edible and to contemplate the fact that ones stuffed with mint leaves are probably extra good.

Mmm... Banana-mint slugs.....

I have a question! Please tell, how do you get a link-back-to-Dreamwidth reply box to show-up in your crossposted (to lj) entries? I just did a cross-posted entry and the reply to Dreamwidth GUI did not show up despite the settings saying it would.

I had an inkling, and sure enough, the check-box for suppressing the reply function on LJ had not been checked. 8^/ Still, the default link generated by Dreamwidth is not as snazzy as your black bar.

there's a section for 'footer'

I set my footer to 'always' and then added this bit of code in the default footer box:
