Mayan exploration

Those are the various tutorials I've been working on in Maya. So far I'm REALLY pleased with the program. It works amazingly well. I've also learned a LOT from the tutorials although the timing and scene layout on them leaves a lot to be desired. I would change the timing to make the animation look better except the tutorials often refer to different elements by their frame # which means I have to keep a bunch of math in my head to synch things up later.
Still. After #3 (the spaceship one) I realized their timing just stunk and started doing more of that. With Salty (the last tutorial) I'm taking som e pretty liberal interpretations on the material and adjusting things more to suit my tastes.
I'm getting anxious to work on my own stuff now. Just gotta build the set and light the scene for Salty first. :)
