Wow. Haven't watched all of them but so far I went through the Gertie the Dinosaur thing. It really is incredibly advanced, all I can think of was that's how McCay thought out art anyway and taking it to animation wasn't a huge leap for him.

But in 1914? This is equivalent to all those chrome-balls-going-through-landscapes things in the '80s, where our generation looked at that stuff and went whoa we can do that now?.
