Animation Update

pasitheaI haven't been posting about animation much lately but I have been animating!
Last weekend I took Peggy to the lab. I punched a bunch of paper (after fixing the punch) and then we both animated for a while. I just dropped back to some more simplistic types of animation. Whitey (a character from Coonskin) who is much like Spongebob in that he's a box with arms and legs, and then some flour sack animation. I'm working on fluidity of motion, strong key poses, overlapping motion and NOT twinning actions. I think I'm starting to get it pretty solid on the keys. Twinning and overlap are bigger issues for me to work on. I wish I had a full-length mirror I could act in front of. I think maybe tonight I'll browse through some of my books and see what they suggest to get oneself into a pattern of good overlap.
I'm also supposed to finish a Yer Secret Santa tonight. I've got all the keys drawn and I think I can bang out the inbetweens. Won't be my best work but probably not too bad for 3 evenings of work. (Especially considering how distractable I've been this week)
Maybe Monday or Tuesday I'll go back to the lab. Kinda fun working there away from my distractions. The lab is puzzlingly empty this quarter tho.
