pasithea: glowing girl (Default)
There was a book I read when I was young. I thought it was by Lloyd Alexander but a little searching hints that's probably not the case.

Here's what I remember of it.

An unchristened boy is stolen by the elves. They leave a troll(ogre?) child in his place. This child they got from magic upon a troll(ogre?) queen they kept locked in their dungeon. the changeling is nasty, of course. He runs the horses into the woods, leads the cows to the onions, knocks up half the women in the county. Eventually, he discovers he is a troll and robbed of his birthright. He kills the human family that had raised him. A father and two brothers, I think. He rapes or takes captive his sister. I can't remember.

Meanwhile, the human boy has grown up in the elvin word. He finds that female elves like sex a lot but the males aren't much for it, so he has lots of torrid sex. the rest of the story about him is kind of a blur for a bit.

The troll/ogre/whatever returns to the fae lands, finds out his mother is held captive by the elves and goes to kill them all. There's some bing war between the elves and this guy's army. The human changeling is sent to the dwarves where he is given an iron sword that basically slices right through elves and trolls alike because they can't touch iron and all their weapons are silver.

Any idea what it might have been from that garbled description?
