Animation Notes
Sep. 15th, 2005 01:14 pmYay! I think things are really starting to click for me. Last night I redid the walk that I'd worked on the day before (walk, not a walk cycle, even) and got something that's almost exactly what I wanted. Also, having bookmarked the '7 steps to animating your shot' bit in Illusion of Life and read it several times, I think it's finally starting to sink in. This morning on the train I thumbnailed out the next shot I want to work on and realized that a slightly different angle would make the action clearer and make the shot easier to animate and run less risk of a jump-cut. Staging staging staging. This seems to be one of my major weaknesses that's made some of my work frustrating up to now. Today at lunch I also got the opportunity to study two people with limps. One with a cane, one without. Sitting and drawing people is definetely helping.
*sigh* On a down note, not gonna get to go to the Second Life thing tho. It was full up, and I have to put animation on hold for a bit and get some housekeeping caught up. :/ Ohwell.
