Well... It's about 24 hours until we launch GPB now. Still doesn't seem real. Goes up from Vandenberg, so for my LA type friends, look North tomorrow and see if you can see it. :) For everyone else, check out http://einstein.stanford.edu or NASA-TV which should run the launch live tomorrow.

I'm gonna do something else for a while now and not think about it anymore or I'll get too anxous.

So... I did a lot of redesign stuff on my website. Not sure I like it. Stacey says it looks five years ago. :/ Anyhow...

http://circle.twu.net Any comments/insites much appreciated. I had a lotta fun monkeying with the code. I used Javascript and CSS styles to make roll-over buttons that didn't have to load a zillion different image maps. Instead, the text floats over the images and the images are javascript triggered by mouseover. I eventually plan to add animation to the TV screens on mouseover but for right now green is good.

The part I'm rather proud of is the TV for the animation camera. The TV part is actually a GIF with transparency. The screen is dynamically loaded behind it with a meta-refresh. I wrote a little console program on my MAC that puts the OFFLINE icon there when not in use and sets a mini-feed to it from either the desktop grabber I wrote or the webcam grabber I wrote. It also lets me turn on and off the webcam and desktop grab with a single button touch.
Even more geeky, the HTML the anima-cam frame is built on ( http://circle.twu.net/anima-cam.html ) is actually the help page for the animation camera, so if you click the 'What is this?' button on the camera page it pops up the window and a full size so you can see the text instead of the cropped size you can see in the frame.

To summerize all this jibbering, I used Frames, CSS, JavaScript, META tags, PHP, and CGI in a single page... Not for the purposes of Evil as most people would, but to make a very slimline site that uses even LESS bandwidth than my old site. :)

On a related note: I'd like to add friend sites to the friends page. Give me an icon and a URL and I'll add it. :)

Also... What webrings are good? I (surprisingly) got accepted to the Animators webring. I've thought about a couple of the furry ones but I'm not sure which ones are good and which are toxic. Any suggestions there would also be appreciated. :)

Several of my sub pages are still 'in progress'. Notably: Buy Stuff, and Links, and I haven't yet remapped my art page to take advantage of the sites I was given a few days ago.

So... I have a backup system to my alarm clock. I almost always get up before Stacey and, while our cats don't agree on much, there is one thing they do agree on. Stacey is the best seat in the house.

If I hit the snooze bar on my clock within seconds the door to the bedroom starts going 'BANG BANG BANG' as they politely remind me its time for them to sit on Stacey.

Always when I go to the door, there isn't a cat in sight but by the time I go to the bathroom and come back, the blankets are more lumpy and mountainous and there's this loud PURR PURR PURR sound rumbling from beneath the covers.

Its _SO_ cute! There's just this big lump in the blankets and lotsa purring noises!! ^_^

Hazel has always been my snuggle-lump. She'll come up to my chair and tap my leg with her paw and wait for me to pick her up. *giggle* So polite! ^_^ Ashley's always been really shy, but I think maybe that was because of her skin problems. Poor baby. She was so sick for such a long time but we finally got rid of whatever was making her sick and now she's suddenly much more lovey and bold. Yay! :)
