Principles of Animation

pasitheaYay! I am now officially added to all of my classes. I'm really glad I registered as early as a could. As a returning student next quarter, I think I'm really gonna jump on it, so that I don't have to deal with wait lists at all.
Anyhow, I've been writing in my paper journal before class each day and through it, I realized that the animation class was the one I was most excited and anxious about. The class is being taught on paper with real animation discs and stuff. :) Our first assignment is to do something about gravity... So.... I'm thinking Persimmon bouncing is pretty darned likely. :) I this animation of Persimmon bouncing several years ago, but I can draw much better and faster now, so it would be great fun to revisit it and make it better. :)
On the other hand, I'd really like to impress my professor, so I've been trying to think of other things I could animate that might really set me apart from the rest of the class. Maybe a child on a pogo stick or something. (Showing the motion in the mechanical device along with the motion in clothes, hair, and muscles)Any suggestions?
In other news... I actually got some kind of e-mail correspondence with my brother. He's a musican and I need music for my animations and videos. *sigh* He's also a devout Southern Baptist and has issues with my 'lifestyle'. But, at the hint of money, he was more than willing to talk. :) 'n' I'm wondering if maybe it's worth it. He wants more for music than I was prepared to pay but not completely out of reason, and if it gets him talking to me again.. Maybe it's worth it.
